Missio Kids Director

Hours: Approximately 15 hours/week

Missio Dei is looking for a part-time Kids Director to lead our Sunday morning environments for children (Nursery + Elementary). This person will help create safe, welcoming, and Jesus-centered spaces for kids and families, while also organizing volunteers and managing classroom systems. If you're organized, relational, and passionate about helping kids feel known and loved, we’d love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

Sunday Programming

  • Oversee classroom setup, supplies, and clean-up

  • Manage check-in and safety procedures

  • Support volunteers and welcome families

Volunteer Coordination

  • Recruit and onboard new volunteers

  • Schedule volunteers and manage Planning Center

  • Provide training and regular communication

  • Run background checks and maintain safety compliance

Curriculum & Classroom Prep

  • Prepare weekly curriculum from One Story

  • Upload lesson plans and materials to Planning Center

  • Print activity guides, rosters, and visual aids

Midweek Support

  • Coordinate childcare for occasional church events

  • Maintain safety and hospitality standards

Team & Support

  • Reports to: Jonny Morrison (Co-Lead Pastor)

  • Collaborates with: Pastoral team + church staff

  • Expected to attend staff meetings and bi-monthly check-ins
