Jonny has a Masters of Exegetical Studies from Western Seminary, a Doctorate of Contextual Theology from Northern Seminary, and is the author of, Light as Air and Prodigal Gospel In their free time, Jonny and his wife Tory love to explore, travel, and pretend like they know how to make fancy food.
Zach Lehr
-
Youth & Operations
Zach grew up travelling all over the United States, and loves that he has found a home in Utah. He is passionate about teaching and equipping, and loves to be a part of a community that helps everyone to belong. Zach spent about a decade doing pastoral ministry before taking a break and pursuing a myriad of other professions that eventually led back to the church. He is especially passionate about creating community for students to engage in, and loves creating and developing teams. Zach has been married for 11 years to his wife Angelica, and they have one daughter, Audrey. In his free time Zach enjoys reading, playing music and writing, and his family loves to do anything outdoors. Find them camping, hiking, climbing, skiing or playing pickleball on any given day.
Angelica Lehr
-
Kids Director
Angelica serves as Missio’s Kids Director and finds deep joy in learning, laughing, and being fully present with the kids in our community. She loves creating spaces where children feel safe, seen, and free to grow.
Utah has been home for many years, and she’s grateful to build both family and church life here.
Outside of Missio, Angelica is an avid lover of all things fashion. She’s a trained fashion designer who runs a small business focused on design and alterations. When she’s not working with clothes, you’ll find her reading, running, playing board games, or leaning into her nerdy side.

Erin Drum
-
Worship Lead
Erin grew up in Boise, Idaho, though she came to Salt Lake City by way of Seattle and will always cheer for the Seattle Sounders. Erin has a passion for worship and for facilitating a space where people can honor God and experience a deeper revelation of God's character. Erin brings this love of worship and her love of details into the role as Missio's Worship Coordinator. In her free time, Erin enjoys challenging herself in her home gym, singing love songs to her dog, Coco, and traveling the world with her husband, Ben.
Phil Hughes
-
Pastor of Discipleship & Care
Phil serves as Missio’s Pastor of Discipleship and Care and loves walking alongside people through teaching, prayer, and conversation as we follow Jesus together.
He moved to Utah in 2004 to pastor Mount Olympus Presbyterian Church and has previously served churches in New Jersey, Philadelphia, and Idaho. Ordained in the Presbyterian tradition, Phil brings decades of pastoral experience to our community.
Outside of Missio, you’ll find him trail running, listening to jazz, following sports, and spending time with his wife, daughters, and granddaughters. He also teaches at the University of Utah and the Salt Lake Running Company—because apparently pastoring and running go hand in hand.
Jaclyn Bullard
-
Administrative Coordinator
Jaclyn serves as Missio’s Administrative Coordinator and loves helping keep our staff team organized, connected, and focused on the gospel making sure communication flows and things don’t fall through the cracks.
She and her family recently moved to Utah to work with a campus ministry at the University of Utah and are grateful to call Salt Lake home.
When she’s not coordinating schedules, Jaclyn is hiking and adventuring with her husband and three kids, enjoying coffee shop hangs, sewing, or tending to her chickens. Her family also spent four years living overseas and loves any chance to share stories, explore new cultures, and practice their Arabic.
Julian Garcia
-
Ministry Resident
Julian helps lead Missio’s hospitality team and loves helping new people get connected. He’s especially energized by imagining how our community can become even more welcoming, thoughtful, and rooted in belonging.
He and his wife moved to Utah to be closer to family and have since planted deep roots here.
Outside of Missio, Julian reads literary fiction and theology, works as a camera operator for local sports teams, and is happiest sharing a good meal with family and friends. He and his wife also run a nonprofit where he helps care for horses daily—so yes, he contains multitudes. And if you ask nicely, he might even tell you about his childhood years in drama and puppet ministry (including a Christian remix of “Bohemian Rhapsody”).
GUIDING TEAM
Along with our staff, Missio is led by a group of leaders called, the Guiding Team. The Guiding Team serves as board of directors fulfilling the basic duties obligated to a non-profit board but more importantly, the Guiding Team “guides” us into the way of Jesus through their lives, leadership, and ongoing engagement with the community. Learn more about the roles, responsibilities, and nomination process of our Guiding Team here.
