● As you read and hear this passage, what images come to your mind?

● What do you suppose the gatherings were like for the first Christians?

● This sermon series “Some Assembly Required” is about the church and the practices

that hold us together. What does it take to have a church? What are the essential things

that are needed? (i.e. people? a regular worship service? faith?)

● Jonny has preached that participation and presence are two key practices for a church.

What brings you to Missio? What determines whether you gather with others each

week?

● Jonny noted what what we input into our lives forms us. Whether it’s politics, news,

recreation, other interests, they form what we become. How are your current practices

in life, whatever they may be forming you?

● Where does gathering with others in our community feel difficult and what does that tell

you?

● What steps toward gathering can you take this week, month, year?
