Weekly Update 7.5.19

July 5th, 2019

The Gospel According to Mark. After Pentecost, we enter “Ordinary” season. This doesn’t mean we are in a boring season but a time to ask questions about our day-to-day lives in light of who Jesus is. What better way to enter this season than with the gospel of Mark, where we hear again who Jesus is and what it means to be his people. For more additional resources and more info read our recent blog here.

Lights for Liberty. On Friday, July 12, Missio is joining together with our community at the Capitol to participate in a vigil for those in detention facilities. We will be meeting together at 6:45pm at the corner of 500N and N. East Capitol Blvd. For more info, email Zach Medlin.

Thank you. We are so thankful for those of you have volunteered your time and skills to help make Missio a more welcoming space. On behalf of the Missio Community, thank you! There is still a need for kitchen cleaning, someone with a truck to take a load to the dump, and a few other misc. jobs. If you are able to help, email Shelley.

Volunteer in Missio Youth. Do you enjoy working with youth? We’re looking for volunteers who are fun-loving and want to invest in discipling our middle schooler’s! There are some exciting things happening in Missio Youth, so sign up to join us by emailing us here.
