3.31.19 Reflection&Liturgy

Reflection, Prayer, Liturgy

We gather this morning because
It’s hard to find trust in uncertainty
When we’ve habituated scarcity
And named fear a practical virtue.

We gather this morning because
A shallow dream would say;
Withholding is wisdom
Preservation is patience
And security sanctimonious

We gather this morning because;
Our God says more;
Laying an opulent table and revealing
That love is generous, beauty open handed,
And the grief of grace but a moment before the harvest.

We gather this morning because we are the Church;
A people of generate gestures
Made in the image and likeness of a Creator who
Gives and gives and gives of himself
So that we might say,
We’d like to give some too.

May the Lord bless you and keep you;

may the Lord make his face shine on you
and be gracious to you;

may the Lord look with favor on you

and give you peace.

Missio, you carry the name of Jesus with you.

Go now, the people pf Jesus, and be the church this week.
