Weekly Update 3.28.19

March 28th, 2019

Easter Celebration. This Easter we are throwing our biggest and best party yet and on Sunday, we were all invited to make it happen by giving and serving. We are so encouraged and excited by the ways people have already responded but we still need more volunteers and we need to raise an additional $1810. You can sign up to serve in lobby after either the 9am or 11am. And if you’d like to give you can do so through our website, just select “Easter” in the drop down menu.

Easter Baptisms. Jesus gives the church, the gift of baptism as a way to practice and proclaim the reality of our new citizenship in Him. If you consider yourself a follower of Jesus but haven’t been baptized, get baptized, and let’s celebrate the work of Jesus in your life on Easter. Baptism at Missio is open to anyone who wants to follow Jesus. If you are interested in being baptized email Jonny.

Red Light Quarterly Meeting.  This is an exciting time for Red Light and we will be discussing some of the opportunities and changes the future holds for us. Red Light is a ministry that serve the women of Salt Lake City engaged in prostitution.  We will be discussing more about who we are and what we do for those who are interested in volunteering.  Join us this Sunday from 12:45-1:30pm in the old Elementary room upstairs.

VBS Summer 2019. Do you want to invest in an amazing week of fun and encouragement for kids? Missio would like to have its 3rd annual VBS this summer. Before we can commit to having it, we need a few people to commit to leading and organizing the week! If you are interested in serving and making VBS happen, email Kristin.

Child Dedication. On Mother’s Day, May 12, we will be holding child dedications at both the 9am and 11am services! This is an opportunity to declare your commitment to raise your children in the knowledge and love of Christ and in a faithful, christian community. If you would like to dedicate your child on that day, please sign up here by May 1st.

Lost and Found. On Sunday, on the counter in the Cafe, we will be laying out all of our lost and found items accumulated over the previous several months. If you have an item you have been missing, come take a look.
