DOXOLOGY & CALL TO WORSHIP
Weary and anxious, busy and preoccupied;
we gather this morning to heed the call to rest––
To remember the easily forgotten and
Sometimes conveniently misplaced truth
That work cannot manage fear.
To be confronted in our pretending,
And to stop putting off rest in the name of love
When it is only ever a mask for insecurity.
To hear again and again and even again
That our King’s burden is light and his yoke is easy
And that he gives rest to the busiest of hearts
Missio we gather to risk in trust and rest.
Lord I Need You
All Who Are Thirsty
Lay It All Down
Head To The Heart
Nothing But The Blood
there is a Sabbath rest for the people of God, a space of presence and time. Whoever has risked in trust and entered into God’s rest is invited to rest from their works as God did from his. Let us therefore strive to enter that rest and to be the Church this week.
