Weekly Update 1.10.19

January 10, 2019

Back to Two Service Times.  We return to two service times for the rest of January.  Join us on Sunday for worship at 9am or 11am!

The Peoples Theology.  How do we live a distinct way of life as the people of Jesus? How do we tell a different story with our lives? Rest. But for us to truly rest, the way Jesus is inviting is us too, requires risk and risk is hard, there’s no way around that truth. But a life without a risk in trust and rest is harder––emptier. We’ve already spent so much time running the course of our world, grasping for promises that melt into air. So in that sense, what do we have to lose? If we can find a moment of space in the crashing commotion we realize it’s just that, commotion. We’ve been offered so much more––a kingdom of abundance with a table at its center. All of us are welcome, everyone is invited to taste and see but the question is, are you willing to take the risk? Subscribe at iTunes,Stitcher, or Google Play.

New High School House Church. Last night, we began a new House Church for high school students. It will continue to meet every Wednesday at 6pm. The Mauers (2010 S 2200 E) are hosting, and Bo Corbin and Susanna Phinney are leading. Food and drink are provided so you can come hungry! For more information or to let us know you are coming, email Nate.

Volunteers for Missio Kids.  Are you a friendly, energetic person who enjoys working with kids? Sign up to volunteer at Check-in or in our Elementary or PreK class. There are exciting things happening in Missio Kids so to join us, email us here.
