9.2.18 Reflection & Liturgy

Reflection, Prayer, Liturgy

I will exalt you, my God the King;
    I will praise your name for ever and ever.
Every day I will praise you
    and extol your name for ever and ever.
Great is the Lord and most worthy of praise;
    his greatness no one can fathom.
One generation commends your works to another;
    they tell of your mighty acts.
They speak of the glorious splendor of your majesty—
    and I will meditate on your wonderful works.
They tell of the power of your awesome works—
    and I will proclaim your great deeds.
They celebrate your abundant goodness
    and joyfully sing of your righteousness.

God said to Jeremiah:
Seek the welfare of the city where I have sent you into exile, and pray to the Lord on its behalf, for in its welfare you will find your welfare.

Missio may we be a people who serve each other and this city through our prayers and actions.
May we be a people who participate with the Spirit of God in moving toward maturity.
May we be a people who learn to trust and with perseverance walk towards healing. And Missio, may we be a people who understand that Christ came to offer us an abundant grace in which we can thrive.

Missio, go into this city, in the grace and hope of Jesus, and be the church this week.
