7.22.18 Reflection & Liturgy

Reflection, Prayer, Liturgy

All too easily we get caught up and distracted;
Blinded by our business and self importance.

All too easily we forget our true poverty
Missing the truth of our dependence.

All too easily we dismiss our need
Convinced we can secure our own way.

The Good news is that Jesus  calls us to more;
A life of true abundance
Rooted and founded in him.

We gather today to experience the life he promises.

  • Be Thou My Vision
  • Let Praises Rise

  • What A Beautiful Name
  • All The Poor And Powerless
  • Blessed Assurance

Jesus promises his followers:

At the renewal of all things, when the Son of Man sits on his glorious throne, you who have followed me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. 29 And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or fields for my sake will receive a hundred times as much and will inherit eternal life. 30 But many who are first will be last, and many who are last will be first.

Go now, trusting in Jesus and not empty promise, go now and be the church this week.
