Doxology & Call To Worship

Psalm 145:13
“Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and your dominion endures through all generations.”

Today on Palm Sunday, we gather;
Because Jesus, the unlikely hero,
The rejected messiah,
Is our King.

We gather because on Palm Sunday many years ago;
He entered Jerusalem in humility,
Was carried by poverty,
And heralded by children.

We gather because today we remember
That our King chose a different way;
Not the way of power and glory
But the way of grace.

We gather today because our King
Founded a Kingdom for the world
Not against it.

We gather because our King is Jesus.
Missio, this is your call to worship.

All who are gathered today hear the good news;
Jesus, the unlikely hero, is King.
He has overthrown the enemy.
Defeated death.
And is at work healing a heartbroken world.

All who are gathered today hear the invitation;
All of us, an unlikely people, are citizens of this new kingdom.
Called to join the movement
Extend the work
And participate in healing a heartbroken world

Go now, citizens of Jesus’ Kingdom, and be the church this week.
Go now, in the authority of King Jesus.
