2.4.18 Liturgy & Reflection

Each week, we gather as a community to witness to the work of Jesus in the world. Sunday aren't just about seeing friends (though that's great) or drinking good coffee (though we do have the best). Sunday's are about experiencing and practicing the Kingdom of Jesus. By gathering together around the table we show the world that God is doing something and at the same time, we learn what it looks like to practice and participate in this thing Jesus is doing. Each piece of our service is a part of that experience and practice.

Doxology & Call To worship

In the beginning, God formed us.
He breathed into the dust,
Gave of himself
And made us all that we are
To know all the He is
Physical, embodied, and whole

Today, we gather because we long
in all that we are for Him;
Like the deer pants for water
Like our hearts need love
Like our bodies need food
We––physical, embodied, and whole;
Need our God.

Missio, we gather today
Because the One we need is present
Because the One who made us whole is here
We gather today with;
Our Present God
Our Conquering King
Our Comforting Savior

Missio, this is your call to worship.

  • Multiplied
  • O God

Deuteronomy 6:4-5 “Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might."

  • Blessed Assurance
  • What a Beautiful Name
  • How Great Thou Art

In the beginning, God called us to Himself.
He formed us from the dust
Named us His own
And Commissioned us.

Though scorned, Jesus’ renewed the call.
In Him, we once again are invited to go
Into all place to all people
Participants in the redemption of all things.

The world we know is destined for hope.
An embodied, physical, whole hope.
And you, Missio, are invited in.
Commissioned to extend the reality of hope.

Go now. God goes with you
God is already there.
Go now, in the name of our;
Present God
Our Redeeming King
And the empowering Spirit.

Go in love and be the Church this week.
