Ash Wednesday- Tomorrow
Tomorrow is Ash Wednesday and begins the season of Lent. For those of you who are not sure what that means you can read a short Lent introduction here.
Ash Wednesday is the traditional beginning of this season and is a time for reflection. It is a intentional time where we look toward the work that Jesus did on the cross. As a community we will be spending the next weeks leading us up to Easter exploring the meaning and significance of this moment.
Tomorrow, we will gather to begin this season together with services at noon and 7 p.m. The noon service will be quiet and contemplative with readings, silence and opportunity to respond. Child care will be offered. In the evening the service will be similar with the addition of music and an artistic piece put together by people from our community. There will be children's ministry offered for children 5 and under, or they are welcomed into the service with you.
All of this is intended to invite us toward a deeper understanding of Jesus.
We hope you can join us.
