Weekly Update 12.21.17
Here's what's happening at Missio:
Christmas Eve Service at Missio Dei-Downtown SLC:
This Christmas Eve, let's gather together to celebrate the advent of King Jesus. Each Christmas Eve we tell the story of Jesus' incarnation, of him moving into the neighborhood to rescue and reconcile all things. We don't do this out of rote tradition. We celebrate because in and through this story we are reminded that hope is present.
Christmas Eve service starts at 5 pm on Sunday, December 24th. Prior to the service starting at 4 pm, there will be an open house with cookie decorating for the children and food and drinks to celebrate.
Please bring your favorite cookies and/or bread to share with the Missio Dei Community and guests.

Red Light Ministry
Red Light Ministry is looking for items to help our homeless population stay warm this winter. We are happy to take gently used items, whether they are from your own closet, from your friends and coworkers, or from one of the local thrift shops. We will have a box available in the lobby each Sunday to drop off your items. The items we need most right now are:
- Sleeping Bags
- Warm Shoes
- Warm socks (new please)
- Hand warmers
- Underwear (new please)
